HTC To Launch A Mid-Range Smartphone Exclusively for India

Indian market has grown substantially in the past decade; Companies like Xiaomi, Motorola, Lenovo has a significant role in the change. The company’s head Chia-Lin Chang has made it official that HTC is in plans to launch mid-ranger device that will be exclusive to India and if everything goes according to plan the device will be launched in Q3 this year.

During an interview with ET Telecom, Companies head stated that the Indian market will be a tremendous demand for HTC. The new mid-range smartphone will be priced under 15,000-20,000 to take on the likes of Xiaomi and Asus. Though the pricing doesn’t fit well to make an enormous difference in India, HTC will also introduce a device under 10,000 mark to cope with the competition. The company currently hold six percentage of share in India and 19 percent when included the 4G variants. Companies have realised that the Indian market can show a vast difference in their yearly revenues.
