Apple has launched the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus smartphones earlier this month and it went on for sale yesterday across 12 countries. Unlike other smartphone brands apple never reveals the complete specs sheet of their smartphones and tablets but guys at iFixit got hold of both the smartphone and did a complete tear down of the smartphones confirming most of the specifications like display, battery, and more. Let’s start with that.
Apple iPhone 6s plus is powered by Apple’s A9 chipset APL1022 SoC and SK Hynix 2GB LPDDR4 RAM unlike the Samsung’s Ram seen on iPhone 6s. The SK Hynix 16GB NAND Flash. A 2,750mAh battery onboard which is lesser than iPhone 6s which had 2915mAh onboard. The display weighs 80 grams which is 20 grams heavier than iPhone 6 plus, the overall weights of the smartphone is 192 grams which is 20 grams heavier than iPhone 6 Plus. Display of the smartphone is the main reason for the increase in overall weight, as the new display features 3D touch.
Apple iPhone 6s is powered by companies A9 chipset with APL0898 SoC, Ram on the device is provided by Samsung which is 2GB LPDDR4 Ram, and 16GB Toshiba 19nm NAND Flash. A smaller battery of 1715mAh compared with 1810mAh battery on iPhone 6 and the display weights 60 grams which is evidently 15 grams heavier than iPhone 6. The teardown also confirms Qualcomm MDM9635M LTE Cat. 6 while the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus had Cat 4 LTE modem. The new Cat 6 supports download speeds up to 300MBPS.
