Vertu has introduced the new Signature Touch Luxury smartphone as the next iteration of last year’s Signature touch with upgrade specifications and improved build quality. So let’s find out what changed in term of specifications.
The device sports 5.2-inches FHD(1920*1080) phosphor LED-powered LCD display accounting to a pixel density of 428PPI, with 5th generation Sapphire Crystal protection for the screen. Powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 810Soc 64-bit Octa-Core processor with Adreno 430GPU coupled with 4GB of Ram and 64GB internal storage with an SD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. The Vertu Signature Touch runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. On the camera side, the device features a 21.2-megapixel autofocus rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 4K Recording, f/2.2 sensor with PDAF, on the front it has a 2.1-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. Vertu’s new Signature Touch comes with custom Image Signal Processor and camera application software by ArcSoft. The body of the smartphone is encased in handcrafted, fine leather and has grade 5 titanium body. Connectivity features include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL, NFC. A 3,160mAh battery runs the show behind with support for Qualcomm Quick charging 2.0. The smartphone supports single SIM and comes with gull-wing doors on the back that opens to place the nano SIM and micro SD card.
The Vertu Signature comes in Garnet Calf, Pure Jet Lizard, Jet Calf, Grape Lizard, Jet Alligator, Clous de Paris Alligator, Pure Navy Alligator and Pure Jet Red Gold with personalised customization available for each model. Pricing ranges between 6,500 GBP (US $20890 / INR Rs 6,55,210 approximately) and 13,700 GBP (US $9910 / INR Rs 13,80,940 approximately) and It goes on sale globally starting from October 16, 2015.
