Huawei Honor 7 Powered by Kirin 935 SOc Launched in India For Rs.22,999


Huawei is a well know brand here in India but has a very limited portfolio for now which the company is planning to expand by introducing series of smartphones in the future. The company has announced the Honor 7 smartphone here in India today which was initially announced in China back in July. Let’s have a look at the specifications.

Honor 7 sports a 5-inches FHD(1920*1080) IPS-NEO LCD display and is powered by Huawei’s very own Kirin 935 chipset (4xA53 2.2GHz + 4xA53 1.5GHz) Octa-Core processor with Mali T628 MP4 GPU. There is 3GB of Ram and 16GB internal storage with an option to add SD card up to 128GB. Honor 7 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with companies own EMUI 3.1 on top, the good thing is that the device will get an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the beta version will be available in January says the company.


Camera department features a 20-megapixel rear camera which is a Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Dual tone LED flash. On the front, we have an 8-megapixel selfie camera with BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture. The camera on Huawei smartphones excites us more than any other features. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Single SIM which is a letdown, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. The thermal gel dissipates the heat from corners and ita actually a good thing that company want to put the heating issue in control. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back side of the device which is touted to be one of the fastest and accurate sensor.

The 3100mAh battery will power on the device and the Smart power 3.0 with 9V/2A fast charging support, but we should warn you the company won’t provide the fast charger within the box. Huawei Honor 7 is priced at Rs.22,999, comes in Gray, Silver, Gold color options and will be available from Flipkart starting October 15th.
