OnePlus is gearing up to launch the much-rumored and most anticipated budget smartphone, the OnePlus X on October 29th. The company has started teasing the device in their social media platforms. Carl Pei from OnePlus has announced that the company will launch a smartphone bu the end of this year during the OnePlus Two launch and it turns out the smartphone is being named as ‘X’ which should give a tough competition to the budget segment.

The teaser images posted has two bulbs forming X alphabet shape indicating the smartphone’s name.We have already seen a couple of render images leak and specifications showing up on AnTuTu benchmark application. The device sports a 5-inches FHD(1920*1080) IPS display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by MediaTek Helio X10Soc which is an Octa-Core processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU, but then again we are hearing rumors that the smartphone will be Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801Soc instead of the MediaTek chipset. We many have to wait till the smartphone goes officially to know what chipset the company is using. There is 2GB of Ram and 32GB internal storage and for the first time on a OnePlus device an SD card slot for memory expansion. A 13-megapixel SONY IMX258 rear camera sensor with 4K video recording, Dual tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Fingerprint sensor on the rear side of the device instead on the home button seen on OnePlus Two. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C with Qualcomm’s Quick charging 2.0. A 3,100 or 3,000mAh built-in battery. The price of the device according to the rumors is around $250. OnePlus is holding an event for the OnePlus X launch in New Delhi, New York, San Fransico, London, Beijing, and Jakarta on October 29th. Stay tuned.
