Samsung Z3 Smartphone Powered by Tizen OS Launched in India For Rs.8,999


Samsung held an event at new-Delhi where in the company has launched the Z3 smartphone that is powered by Tizen OS, unlike Android. Tizen is Samsung’s home-made OS and Z1 was the first smartphone to be running Tizen OS. The device is priced at Rs.8,999 and will be available via offline and online channels in India starting from October 21st. Let’s dive into the specifications.

The Samsung Z3 sports a 5-inches HD(1280*720) HD AMOLED display and is powered by Spreadtrum chipset clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor. There is 1GB of Ram and 8GB internal storage with an SD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. The smartphone runs on Tizen OS 2.3. On the camera side, the device features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. A 2,000mAh battery powers the device. From specifications point of view we feel the device is little overpriced.
