Huawei’s Watt Lab has introduced and demoed their next generation quick charging technology that claims to charge upto 10 times faster than typical charging. The company has demoed the same technology at 56th Battery Symposium in Japan wherein the company has used a 600mAh and 3000mAh battery capacities to charge with the new quick charging technology.
With this technology you can charge a 600mAh battery unit upto 68% in just 2-minutes, this technology will surely give a boost to wearable by fully charging the devices in mere minutes. A 3000mAh battery gets charged to 48% in under 5-minutes which is even faster than Qualcomm’s Quick charging, Oppo’s VOCC charging technologies. The key difference here is that Huawei’s Quick charging technology comes within the battery units while the rest have their quick charging tech integrated within power adapters. Huawei’s new technology is promising and will surely be a path breaking innovation that will lead to a new revolution in Electronic, Mobile accessories in future. no info on availability mentioned so Stay tuned.
Huawei on this occasion, said:
These quick charging batteries underwent many rounds of testing, and have been certified by Huawei’s terminal test department. We bonded heteroatoms to the molecule of graphite in anode, which could be a catalyst for the capture and transmission of lithium through carbon bonds. Heteroatoms increase the charging speed of batteries without decreasing energy density or battery life.
