LG has launched the 2nd Edition Urbane Watch last month and it recently announced that it will be rolled out this month but here comes an unexpected announcement from the Company, LG has officially canceled the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE. The company has cited a hardware related issue that caused the company to cancel the Watch. Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE is the first LTE-powered Android wear based smartwatch though the first one was powered by WebOS. The company doesn’t promise to release the watch again, but at the same time it didn’t rule out the possibility so the chances are that company might release it once they have rectified the issue. Here’s what LG has to say on the cancellation and for the people who are currently reviewing the watch.
We understand that you are currently reviewing our latest smartwatch; however, late in the quality assurance process for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, our engineers were made aware of a hardware issue which affects the day-to-day functionality of the device. After further investigation, the decision was made to cancel the rollout of the Urbane 2nd Edition LTE due to the complicated nature of the issue.
Whether the device will be available in the future will be decided at a later time. For now, our top priority is to ensure that only products that meet our very specific quality standards are available for purchase.
