Microsoft has launched the Lumia flagship smartphones in India, these smartphones went official last month at the Lumia event and today they finally found their way into the Indian market. These smartphones come with Windows Continuum feature that turn your smartphone into the PC via a Dock which will be free for those who pre-order these smartphones. Both the Lumia 950 and 950XL come with Dual SIM slots and 4G enabled and are the first Microsoft smartphones to run Windows 10 out of the box. The price of the Lumia 950XL is Rs.49,399 and the Lumia 950 is priced at Rs.43,699 both these phones will be up for pre-order via Amazon.in and retail stores such as Croma, Reliance and Sangeetha starting from today and the actual availability is from December 11th. Display: Lumia 950XL sports a 5.7-inches QHD (1440 by 2560) AMOLED display that is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The display accounts to a pixel density of 518PPI (pixels per inch)The glance screen is there like any other Microsoft mobile which will allow you to have a peek at your notifications. The ClearBlack technology will lower the reflective nature of the display outdoors.
Lumia 950 sports a smaller 5.2-inches QHD (1440 by 2560) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, the pixel counts jump to a whopping 564 PPI which is higher than the Lumia 950XL considering the compact display. Glance feature is also available on the Lumia 950.
Processor: The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810Soc clocked at 2.0GHz Octa-Core processor with Adreno 430 GPU. The processor is liquid cooled says the company eliminating the excessive heating. There is 3GB of Ram and 32GB internal storage with an SD card slot for memory expansion.

OS and Features: Both Lumia 950XL and 950 runs on Windows 10 OS right out of the box meaning you will have all the new win 10 features like eDrive, Skype, Office, and Microsoft’s new Edge browser are baked into the experience. Though the Lumia 950XL doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor it takes advantage of the Microsoft’s Hello identification system which will identify the users face and unlocks without even pressing any button.
Camera: There is a 20-megapixel ZEISS optics PureView rear camera with triple tone LED flash, 5th generation optical image stabilization and a 5-megapixel front facing camera with 1080p video recording. Microsoft says the rear camera can provide quality images even in low-light conditions. Both Lumia 950XL and 950 feature same camera optics.
Connectivity-Battery: Connectivity features 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C for the first time on a Microsoft device. There is a 3340mAh removable battery, wireless fast charging with flip cover. While the Lumia 950 features a low battery unit of 3,000mAh with fast charging and wireless fast charging with flip cover.
