Xioami has introduced the Redmi Note 3 smartphone and it features metal body design and a fingerprint sensor making it the first smartphone from Xiaomi to feature a Fingerprint sensor which is placed under the rear camera sensor. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was touted to be released as Redmi Note 2 pro, but then company wanted to cut the Redmi 2 series to avoid unwanted confusion. Though the device is made of metal it is just 8.65MM thick and weighs 168 grams which is 4 grams heavier than Redmi Note 2. The device comes in Silver, Dark Grey, Gold colors and is priced at 899 Yuan or Rs.9,300 approx for 16GB ROM and 2GB Ram variant while the 32GB ROM and 3GB Ram variant is priced at 1,099 Yuan or Rs 11,400. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 5.5-inches FHD (1920*1080p) display with dedicated Reading Mode. Internally the Redmi note 3 is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 clocked at 2-GHz Octa-Core 64-bi PowerVR G6200 GPU coupled with 2GB LPDDR3 Ram and 16GB internal storage and another variant with 3GB Ram and 32GB Storage. Runs on Android 5.0 with all the new Miui 7 on top of it.
On the camera side, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a 13-megapixel primary camera with ultra-fast 0.1s PDAF autofocus and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfie lovers. Connectivity features include Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, Infrared remote to control few electronic devices and a 4,000mAh removable battery powers that also has Quick charging 2.0. There is also a fingerprint sensor which the company claims to unlock the device in under 0.3 seconds.
