Gionee M5 Plus Features a Fingerprint Sensor, 6-inch FHD Display To be Announced on December 21


Gionee has confirmed a new M series smartphone will be announced on December 21st, a new Gionee device was certified by TEENA last month with codename “GN8001” and we are betting the device to be Gionee M5 Plus smartphone. The specifications of the device according to the listing are, The device sports a 6-inch Full HD (1920× 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass. Powered by a 1.3Ghz Octa-Core processor. There is 3GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB Internal memory with an SD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. Gionee M5 Runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo UI overlayed on top.

On the camera side, there is an 8-megapixel or 13MP Auto Focus Camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. We also have a Fingerprint sensor on board for better device security.  Connectivity features include 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. There is a 5020mAh battery on board.
