Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset was officially announced earlier this year and confirmed that the chipset will be available to OEM’s next year only. Today the company has launched the Snapdragon 820Soc in china along the launch we also get to see the AnTuTu and Geekbench benchmark scores on a prototype device. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 scores an impressive 131648 points in the AnTuTu application and is apparently the highest on any smartphone present day on any chipset available, the chipset was equipped on a smartphone powered by 820Soc along with 3GB of Ram and 64GB internal storage, A 21-megapixel rear camera on board. The prototype features a QHD display as well.
We also get to see the chipset performance on Geekbench where it managed to score 2320 points on a single core and 5,396 points in the multi-core test. The Snapdragon 820Soc is designed by custom Kryo cores which result in impressive single core performance improvement in Geekbench compared with Exynos 7420. Snapdragon 820 scores an impressive 54,000 points in 3D test where the Kirin 950Soc by Huawei scores 21,000.
