Just as we expected, Vodafone has launched the 4G LTE services in India today. The company has acquired the 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3 last year and the new 4G LTE is based on the same bandwidths. The company is now offering a free upgrade to existing Vodafone users with a free 4G enabled SIM card. Users can purchase the trail pack for Rs.29 and test out the Vodafone 4G LTE data upto 120MB and a bonanza pack upto 20GB for Rs.2,499. Users of Kochi can enjoy the 4G LTE speeds from December 14th and Vodafone has said that it will roll out 4G services in Trivandrum and Kozhikode in Kerala in its first phase and gradually rollout to rest of the cities in India.
The Vodafone 4G LTE is built on the strong fibre backhaul and the company has said that it’s already testing out the 4G LTE in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, etc. Soon after the testing is done the rollout will begin says Vodafone. Bu upgrading to Vodafone 4G the existing will be able to claims these offers, 3 months Hungama plus free subscription, unlimited free music subscription from Vodafone music, 100% Extra Data for all 4G RED customers for 3 months.
