Asus has launched the Zenfone Max smartphone in India just as we reported. The company had showcased the device during the Zen festival back in August 2015. Asus Zenfone Max comes with Mammoth 5000mAh battery on board which also works like a power bank in charging other smartphones. The company is promising 37.6 hours of 3G talk time, 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing or 72.9 hours of music playback or 22.6 hours of video playback. The device is currently up for pre-orders via Flipkart and Amazon.in and the tentative release date listed in 14th January. Priced at Rs.9,999 the smartphone will also be sold at ASUS Exclusive Stores and with other retailers from the second fortnight of January.

The Asus Zenfone Max is powered by tried and tested Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410Soc clocked at 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor with Adreno 306 GPU coupled with 2GB of Ram and 16GB Internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion up to 64GB. The device sports a 5.5-inches HD(1280*720) display.
On the camera department, the device houses a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Laser autofocus for fast focusing, and companies native low-light owl mode. Upfront, we have a 5-megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
