Blackberry Priv Powered by Android OS Launched in India For Rs.62,990

Blackberry’s first ever Android powered smartphone-The Priv was initially announced in October 2015, today the company has officially launched the device in India for a whopping Rs.62,990. The device will be available from Blackberry authorized stores, retail partners and amazon starting from today. The Blackberry Priv features a slider keyboard which looks quite unique, but for the price, the device sure looks a bit overpriced. The Blackberry Priv is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808Soc clocked at 1.8Ghz Hexa-Core 64-bit processor with Adreno 418 GPU for graphical requirements. The device sports a 5.4-inches Quad HD(2560 x 1440) AMOLED dual curved display that accounts for a pixel density of 540 PPI. The display also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. There is 3GB of Ram and 32GB internal storage that can be further expanded via a MicroSD card slot up to 128GB. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop that can be further upgraded to Marshmallow 6.0. The device features special blackberry OS functionalities that can be used.

Talking about the cameras, The device features an 18-megapixel rear camera with Dual-Tone LED flash, OIS, PDAF, f/2.2 6P lens and can record 4K videos via the rear camera. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, NFC, USB 2. A 3,410mAH battery that promises to give 22.5 hours battery life with mixed use, the device also supports fast charging.
