Oppo’s Camera Centric ‘F1 Smartphone’ With 8MP Front Cam, 3GB Ram Goes Official

Oppo during last week has announced a brand new F-series camera-centric smartphones that are going to be launched this year and also mentioned that the series will start with F1 that will be launching in India on Jan 28th. Ahead of the Indian launch the company has unveiled the F1-A camera-centric smartphone with 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture in Vietnam. The device comes with a set of new camera features integrated into the software like the ability to use the screen as a front firing flash for better low-light images, 8 live filters, and more. The Oppo F1 is currently available to order in Vietnam and company will ship the device starting from 21st Jan 2016. Priced at 6,490,000 Vietnamese Dongs or $ 290, so we should know the Indian pricing on January 28th. Let’s look at the specifications of the new Oppo F1 smartphone.

Oppo F1 Specifications:

The device sports a 5-inches HD(1280*720) display with 2.5D corning gorilla glass protection and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 616Soc clocked in at 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53Octa-Core processor with Adreno 405 GPU for the graphical resources. There is 3GB of Ram and 16GB internal storage on board which can be further expanded via a MicroSD card up to 128GB. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Color OS 2.1 overlaid on top.

Talking about the camera which are key USP of the smartphone, there is a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and it can record 1080p videos. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture with some software features. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. There is a 2,500mAH battery on board.
