Oppo F1 Selfie Centric Smartphone officially launched in India For Rs.15,990

Oppo has launched the F1 smartphone in their brand new F-Series in India. The device was initially announced earlier this year. The device packs in an 8-megapixel selfie camera with retina flash that uses the screen as flash. The company has priced the device aggressively at Rs.15,990 and will be made available in various cities starting from Feb 1st. The company is also bundling a selfie stick within the package. Let’s look at the specifications of the Oppo F1.


The device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 616Soc clocked in at 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53 Octa-Core processor with Adreno 405 GPU for the graphical resources. Oppo F1 sports a 5-inches HD(1280*720) display with 2.5D corning gorilla glass protection. There is 3GB of Ram and 16GB internal storage on board which can be further expanded via a MicroSD card up to 128GB. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Color OS 2.1 overlaid on top.

On the camera side, there is a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and it can record 1080p videos. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture with some software features. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. There is a 2,500mAH battery on board.

The company will also expand its offline sales outlets to 35,000 and target 180+ service centers across the country. Additionally, OPPO has also announced a 30-dayreplacement period and 24-month warranty policy for every OPPO product sold across India.
