Xiaomi Redmi 3 Powered by Snapdragon 616Soc, 2GB Ram Announced in China For $106

Xiaomi’s Redmi 3 smartphone was teased by the company a couple of times before launch and just as we expected the company has announced the Redmi 3 smartphone in China. It is the successor to the most popular Redmi 2 launched last year. The device features full metal body also sports a massive 4100mAh battery on board. The device is all set to go on for sale starting from tomorrow in China for a price of(wait for it) 699 Yuan which roughly converts to $106 or Rs.7,100 Indian price. Let’s look at the specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi 3 in detail.

Xiaomi Redmi 3 Specifications:

The all new Xiaomi Rredmi 3 sports a slightly bigger 5-inches HD(1280*720) display compared to the 4.7-inches on the Redmi 2. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 Octa-Core processor with 2GB Ram and 16GB ROM on board. However, the internal memory can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot. We are not really sure about the OS the device is running on top of Miui 7, being a Xiaomi device we won’t be surprised if it runs on KitKat but, we would love to see Marshmallow 6.0.

Talking about the cameras on this guy, there is a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, Phase Detection AutoFocus and on the front, there is a 5-megapixel fixed focus selfie shooter for selfies and video calls. The smartphone features a Hybrid dual sim slot, where you can use the Secondary SIM slot as a MicroSD card slot or secondary SIM. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Dual SIM(Hybrid), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. As said above the device features metal body with a premium uniquely patterned textured back case.
