ARCHOS has officially announced the Diamond 2 Plus smartphone just days before the MWC event, the device packs in some impressive specifications like the Fingerprint sensor, 4GB of Ram and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box. All the device announced by ARCHOS the past week are running 6.0 which is a good thing indeed. The ARCHOS Diamond 2 Plus comes in black and white colors is priced at €249 or $229(Rs.15,710 approx), and the company will roll out the device starting this May 2016 across Europe and other markets. The Diamond 2 sports a huge 5.5-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS Full lamination display with 2.5D curved glass and the display comes with DragonTrail glass protection. Powered by MediaTek Helio P10Soc clocked at (4×2.0GHz + 4x 1.2GHz) Octa-Core processor with Mali-T860MP2 GPU, it packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage that can be expandable via a MicroSD card up to 128GB. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
Camera department on this device gets interesting, we have a big 20-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Laser AutoFocus and f/2.2 aperture for better shots and up front, we have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for better low-light selfies. The device also features a Fingerprint sensor on board for extra security. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, Micro USB Type-C port with fast charge support.
