Samsung has officially announced the Unpacked 2016 event on February 21st, in Barcelona just a day before the MWC 2016 event kick starts. The recent rumors and the teaser image point to the fact that the Korean giant will officially unveil the next galaxy-The Samsung Galaxy S7 at the unpacked event while the company might postpone the announcement of the Galaxy S7 edge+ to the later part of the year just like it did with the S6 Edge+. The invite just shows the glowing box-the typical Samsung style and the teaser video shows a person wearing the VR headset and looking at the glowing box with a tag line that says-The Next Galaxy and the event date.
The company will most probably announce the next galaxy smartphones and they might go on for sale starting from March 11th according to the recent rumors and reports surfacing online. The Unpack event will kick-start on 21st February at 19:00 CET (11:30 PM IST) and it will also live stream the event via their official YouTube channel for those who missed the event.
The rumored specifications of the Galaxy S7: The device is powered by Companies very own Exynos 8890Soc that went official last year and an another variant that will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820Soc which surely looks worthy contender to Exynos. The Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inches Quad HD SUPER AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection obviously. There is 4GB of Ram on both the Exynos and the Snapdragon variants and company will offer storage options starting from 32GB and off lately we have been hearing the possibility of a MicroSD card slot addition as well. A 12-megapixel BRITECELL camera.
Though the company is bringing Exynos and Snapdragon variants, the chipset availability might depend on the markets a practice we have seen from Samsung since the past launches. Stay tuned for more updates on the same.
