Lenovo India has teased about an upcoming smartphone that will be introduced at the MWC 2016 event which is about to kickstart from February 25th in Barcelona. A little observation of that teaser image gives us the idea that the company will launch the Global variant of the Lemon 3 smartphone with a different naming in India and other markets. The Lenovo Lemon 3 smartphone was initially introduced in China last month. The Lemon 3 was priced at 699 Yuan or Rs.7,290, and it might carry a similar price tag in other markets as well, but we can know it for sure only after the company unveils it officially at MWC event. The Lenovo Lemon 3 sports a 5-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display that has a brightness of 450 nits. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 616Soc clocked at 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53 64-bit Octa-Core processor with Adreno 405 GPU. There is 2GB of LPDDR3 Ram and 16GB internal storage with a MicroSD card slot for further memory expansion up to 128GB. The Lenovo Lemon 3 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Lemon 3 packs in a slim metal body profile with 7.99 mm thickness.

Talking about the cameras, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash that can record Full HD 1080p videos, up front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. A 2750mAh battery on board for all the battery needs. The device packs in Waves MaxxAudio technology and also has Dolby audio for an enhanced sound experience. Lenovo sure looks to take full command of the sub 8k price range where Xiaomi had a lead until few other Chinese smartphone maker entered the Indian markets.
