LG H840 powered by Snapdragon 652Soc, QHD Display Surfaces on GFX Benchmark


LG H840 is an upcoming LG smartphone that has surfaced on the GFX benchmark site earlier today; early rumors suggest that the device might be the lite version of the company’s flagship G5 smartphone that will be launching ahead of MWC 2016 on February 21st. The listing reveals some of the specifications of the device like the chipset used, display and more. Though the specifications are leaked, we are not sure that it will launch along with the G5 flagship smartphone, may be in the coming months. Let’s look at the listed specifications of the LG H840.

The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652Soc(formerly named as Snapdragon 620) clocked at 1.8GHz Octa-Core processor with Adreno 510 GPU, it sports a 5.3-inches Quad HD(2560×1440 pixels) display that might have Corning Gorilla glass protection. There is 3GB of Ram and 32GB internal storage we expect a MicroSD card slot as well given the fact that company’s flagship features one. The LG H840 according to the listing runs on Android 4.4 but we pretty sure it will run on the latest Android OS i.e 6.0 Marshmallow.

Being an LG smartphone camera is one thing that interests us the most, the listing says that it has an 8-megapixel rear camera, it might actually come with a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and it can record UHD 4K videos, up front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera for selfies and video chats, it might record 1080p videos. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi(2.4GHz+5GHz band), GPS, NFC is also on board.
