LG K8 With Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 4G LTE Silently Goes Official


LH introduced the new K-series during the CES 2016 event last month, and the K-series included the K10, K7 smartphones that are aimed at the mid-range segment that puts their focus on the camera department. Today the company had added a new device to the K-series. The LG K8 silently goes official in many markets that also include Hungary. Similar to the K7 and K10, the K8 also features 2.5D curved screen display and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box. The LG K8 will be available in White and dark blue color but for now, we lack the rollout and pricing details, the company will showcase all these newly introduced smartphones at the MWC event two weeks from now along with flagship G5. Let’s look at the specifications of the LG K8 smartphone in detail.

LG K8 Specifications:

LG K8 is powered by MediaTek MT6735 Soc clocked at 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with Mali-T720 GPU, it sports a 5-inches HD (1280 x 720 pixels) In-cell Touch display with 2.5D glass that doesn’t come with any protection. There is 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB Internal memory that can be further expanded via a MicroSD card slot, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with LG U.X overlaid on top.


In the camera department, we have an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash that can record Full HD 1080p videos and up front, we have a 5-megapixel shooter for video chats and selfies. Connectivity features include 4G LTE Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and NFC. A 2045mAh (minimum)/2125mAh (typical) user removable battery on board.
