LG has taken the wraps off the G5 flagship smartphone just a day ahead of the MWC 2016 event, it is the first ever flagship device to feature a semi-modular design and with additional add-ons that are named as LG G5 Friends. Today the company has announced that it will launch the G5 smartphone in India in the next quarter, the Q2. The company hasn’t mentioned a particular date but it will be sometime after the April global launch, so we will know the pricing and official availability during the time of the launch.

To recap, The LG G5 sports a 5.3-inches Quad-HD (2560×1440 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and Always On feature, It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad-Core 64-bit processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs 4GB of Ram and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded via a MicroSD card slot up to 128GB. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box.
Talking about the camera department, the device features a 16-megapixel autofocus rear camera with laser autofocus, dual-tone flash, it can record 4K videos. While on the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/AC, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C port. This time around we also get the Fingerprint sensor which can be found on the rear side of the device below the main camera module. A 2,800mAH user-removable battery on board with Qualcomm’s Quick charging 3.0.
