Sony has introduced the Xperia X performance which is the first Sony smartphone that is powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip; the Snapdragon 820Soc and runs on Android 6.0 with Sony’s custom skin right out the box and it is indeed the first launch by Sony that runs Marshmallow OS. The company introduced a 23-megapixel hybrid autofocus sensor last week, and the Xperia X performance features the same camera module and on the front, it packs in a 13-megapixel 22mm wide-angle lens selfie camera. The Sony Xperia X Performance will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colors and will roll out starting in mid-2016, no word on pricing info. The Sony Xperia X Performance sports a 5-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) company made Triluminos Display and being a 5-inch phone it should be compact enough for one-handed usage. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820Soc Quad-Core 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs in 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory with a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion up to 200GB. The Sony Xperia X Performance runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

Sony cameras have always been great, and the new Xperia X performance features a big 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor with Predictive Hybrid AF with the speed of 0.03 second, f/2.0, and it can record Full HD 1080 videos at max. On the front, there is a 13MP camera with 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and also, can record Full HD 1080p videos which should be perfect for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, Dual SIM depending on the region. A 2700mAh Battery that has the support for Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology. The device rocks Sony DSEE HX audio technology and has LDAC codec and also offers Digital Noise Cancelling. Just like the Xperia Z5, the Xperia X performance also comes with Fingerprint sensor on the power button to the right side.
