Just like you’d expect, Apple has just introduced the iPhone SE-A refreshed variant of the iPhone 5 with minimal design and significant internal changes. We want to make it clear that iPhone SE is no way a successor to the recently launched iPhone 6S or iPhone 6 Plus but more like an affordable iPhone smartphone for the audience who like to use a 4-inch Apple smartphone with new internals. The new iPhone SE is priced at $399 for the 16GB model, the 64GB variant is priced at $499, it will be available in space gray, silver, gold or rose gold paint. Apple will start shipping the new iPhone SE from March 31st and in the first batch, it will be available in United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico, it will gradually roll out to other markets. Apple iPhone SE Specifications:
The new iPhone SE sports a compact 4-inches display with 640 x 1136 resolution and is powered by Apple’s A9 chipset clocked at 1.85GHz Dual Core Twister processor with PowerVR GT7600 GPU. There are two storage variants one with 16GB and the other with 64GB, Ram on the device isn’t clear for now. It runs on latest iOS 9.3 operating system right out of the box.
Talking about the camera, there is the same 12-megapixel camera sensor (seen on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus) it can also record UHD 4K videos and on the front, we have a 1.2-megapixel camera for selfies, the retina flash feature that will momentarily brighten the screen while taking a selfie. The home button also poses as the Touch ID fingerprint sensor for better security of data. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi AC Dual Band, Single SIM, No MicroSD expansion.
Indian Pricing and Availability: According to the press release from Apple, the Indian pricing for the 16GB variant of the iPhone SE is around Rs.30,000 and will be launched in the country in April. Stay tuned.
