Huawei’s P9 smartphone was in the news for quite some time now, thanks to the numerous leaks most of the details like specifications, interesting features are now out in the air and now to put an end to all those rumors and anticipations. Huawei has finally sent out media invites for the launch of the smartphone globally. Though the invite doesn’t clearly mention anything particular to the smartphone, the dual rear circles in the invites gave away the detail. Huawei will introduce the P9 at an event in London on April 6th; 2016-the tag line says “change the way you see the world.”
The Huawei P9 is expected to come to three different variants the entry-level variant will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652Soc coupled with 2GB of Ram and 16GB internal storage, the standard edition P9 will be powered by Huawei’s Kirin 950Soc with 3GB of Ram and 32GB internal storage. The high-end P9 Max will be powered by Kirin 955Soc with 4GB of Ram and 64GB Rom. Also, the P9 max will have a bigger display with 6-inch QuadHD display.
Talking about the cameras, the P9 features a 12-megapixel dual camera with Leica lenses after the recent partnership, Dual-Tone LED flash, and on the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. It runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow with custom skin overlaid on top. Also, it has got a fingerprint sensor for better security; connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac(2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC, USB Type-C port.
