Unknown Xiaomi Smartphone Powered by Snapdragon 820Soc, 3GB Ram Spotted on Weibo

Looks Xiaomi is planning to take on Apple’s compact SE smartphone in China, an unknown Xiaomi smartphone was spotted on Weibo a while go and according to the report from GizChina, the new Xiaomi is being codenamed as Xiaomi M2 SE. The device is said to have 4.3-inches display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820Soc. From the image, the design of the device looks quite similar to the Xiaomi’s latest flagship; the Mi 5 and similar to the Mi 5, the SE also comes with a home button which might also have the Fingerprint sensor functionality.

The All new M2 SE sports a 4.3-inches HD(1280*720) IPS display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820Soc Quad-Core processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs in 3GB of Ram and 32GB internal storage, it might have a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Miui 7.0 on top.

In the camera department, the device packs a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and it might record UHD 4K videos. There is no info regarding the front camera, but we can expect an 8-megapixel sensor which should be good enough for selfies and video calls. And as mentioned above, the device rocks a Fingerprint sensor to the home button. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Dual SIM, WiFi 802.ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. There is a 2350mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 running the show in the background.

Reports suggest that the new Xiaomi M2 SE will be priced at CNY 1799 or US $278 and is expected to go official in June 2016. Nothing for now is confirm, so we advice you take this with a pinch of salt.
