OnePlus has already announced that it will roll out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its smartphones by the end of Q1, today the screenshots of OnePlus Two running on Oxygen OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 have surfaced online. It has come to our knowledge that the screenshots are from soak test of Marshmallow on OnePlus Two that is being pushed to some users recently. OnePlus will add a new set of features along with Marshmallow sweetness; we have already seen OnePlus bringing in Raw support in camera with OS 2.1.1 update recently along with February month security patch.
The OnePlus Two OS3.0 based on Marshmallow soak test kernel is dated March 15th, and it is quite clear that it also includes Android security patch for March. As we said above, OnePlus has given a deadline for Marshmallow update by the end of Q1, which is just a few weeks from now, so we need to wait and watch when OnePlus will announce the roll out details for its smartphones. Marshmallow will bring features like App permission from accessing phones data, Now-on-tap a quick google now card with full information of the data on the screen, the much hyped Doze feature that will kill all the background apps when the phone is kept idle for some time. Let’s hope OnePlus pushes out the update in time just as it promised.
