Xiaomi has just announced the upgraded variant of the Redmi 3, the Redmi 3 Pro that comes with Fingerprint sensor that went missing on the Redmi 3 and an extra gig of Ram. Xiaomi at the same event also introduced its sub-brand called MIJIA which will keep its focus on smart home products and is slowly expanding its product ecosystem just like LeEco did by rebranding itself. Coming back to the Redmi 3 Pro, the device is priced at 899 Yuan or $138, and it will go on for sale starting from April 6th, 2016. Let’s check the specifications of the Redmi 3 Pro.

The Xiaomi redmi 3 Pro sports a 5-inches HD(1280*720) IPS display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616Soc clocked at 1.5GHz Octa-Core processor with 3GB LPDDR3 Ram compared to the 2GB on the regular Redmi 3; it has 32GB internal storage with a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. The Redmi 3 Pro runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MiUi 7.0 on top of it.

The device also features a fingerprint sensor for extra security, and it can unlock the device in under 0.5 seconds. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Dual SIM(Hybrid), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.
