Apple has launched the iPhone SE smartphone in India for Rs.39,000 for the 16GB variant whereas the international price is a bit lower at $399. Considering the market and significant price difference, Apple has introduced a Corporate offer for the iPhone SE and old iPhones like 6 and 6S. Under this scheme, Corporate users can lease the SE, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S for Rs.999, Rs.1199, and Rs.1399 for two years. During this contract period, users can upgrade to another iPhone just by paying the price difference. Corporate buyers can surely take advantage of this leasing offer saving some bucks.
Apple is aggressively pushing the leasing offer by running paper and electronic ads and is aiming to increase the market share in India with the iPhone SE, which is targeted at the emerging markets like India. Apple has recently submitted DIPP for single-brand retail stores in India and is exploring various options to invest in the country. iPhone SE has seen the fastest ever launch in India; all these signs clearly indicate Apple’s motive to increase the market share and make its presence felt. Apple has recently slashed the price of the iPhone 5S, and it was available for Rs.21,000 in December last year.
