HTC has introduced the Vive X Accelerator program targetted at Startups based on Virtual reality. In this program, HTC will back the startups in virtual reality space and is investing a sum of US$ 100 million in the program. HTC is aiming to cultivate and develop the VR ecosystem globally, the company will give access to advanced special VR technologies and will guide the new startups with their expertise. Startups will get a chance to work and take suggestions from best of the best mentors in VR industry and also have an opportunity to know more about the VR tech from the best community.
Another advantage for startups is that HTC will take care of the essential functions such as accounting, Finance, HR, Legal, etc. The program will initially start from Beijing, Taipei and San Francisco and will eventually expand to other global markets as well. The program is scheduled to kick-start from May 2016 and the final entrants will be invited to apply for the program.
