Huawei Honor 5C Powered by Kirin 650Soc, 2GB Ram Goes Official in China

Huawei has introduced the Honor 5C smartphone that was certified by TEENA a while ago, the device sports a 5.2-inches Full HD display and is powered by the company’s homemade Kirin 650Soc coupled with 2GB of Ram on board. The Huawei Honor 5C is priced at CNY 899 ($139) for the 3G model while the 4G variant is priced at CNY 999 ($154) and the device is currently available in China. No word on the global roll out yet. The Huawei Honor 5C sports a 5.2-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display and is powered by Huawei’s own made Kirin 650Soc clocked at 4xCortex-A53@2.0GHz + 4xCortex-A53@1.7GHz Octa-Core processor. It packs in 2RAM and 16GB storage, and it comes with a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. The Huawei Honor 5C runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei’s Emui v4.1 overlaid on top.

Talking about the camera, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera wit LED flash, f/2.0 lens and on the front; there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The device also features a fingerprint sensor down below the rear camera module and going the Honor 5X’s fingerprint sensor performance, we’d say it should be real fast and according to the company it can unlock the device in 0.5 sec. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou for satellite positioning and MicroUSB port. Huawei has introduced two variants of the Honor 5C, one with 3G only and another with 4G LTE. A 3000mAH battery on board.
