Xiaomi has posted a teaser image of the upcoming Max smartphone showcasing the massive display size and now the company has officially announced that it will introduce the Max on May 10th. Though it was thought that the device will feature a Quad HD display and Snapdragon 820Soc, the GFX benchmark listing reveals a mid-ranger. It will be powered by Snapdragon 650Soc with a 6.4-inch massive 1080p display. The processor will be the same as we have on Redmi Note 3. The event is scheduled to happen on May 10th in Beijing National Convention Center, so we should know the pricing and specifications list for sure on that day.

The device is expected to sport a 6.4-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650Soc clocked at 1.8GHz Hexa-Core processor with Adreno 510 GPU. It might pack 2GB Ram and 16GB Rom while other variant with 3GB Ram and 32GB Rom similar to what we have seen with Redmi Note 3. It will come with a MicroSD card slot, but will it have a Dedicated slot for memory expansion is still a question. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 on top.
Talking about the camera, there is a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The Xiaomi Max will also feature a Fingerprint sensor on the rear side for extra and better security, going by the Redmi Note 3’s Fingerprint sensor performance, the Xiaomi Max will also unlock the device almost instantly. Connectivity features include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS. A massive 5000mAh battery to power up the device.
