Coolpad will launch its Max flagship smartphone in India on May 20th. The company has started sending out press invites and the teaser image says “As we brought the history changing Dual SIM Dual Standby 12 years ago, this time again we prepared something unique for you!” The company didn’t reveal any details about the smartphone, but the image posted on Coolpad’s official Facebook page reveal that it is indeed Coolpad Max that is going to launch on May 20th.
Coolpad has introduced the Max flagship in November 2015 and is was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615Soc coupled with 3GB Ram, last month company has introduced yet another variant of the Max, and it comes with Snapdragon 617Soc with 4GB Ram on board. So Coolpad will launch either of these variants in India next Friday. Let’s check out the specifications of the Coolpad Max in detail.

Coolpad Max sports a 5.5-inches Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617Soc coupled with 1.5GHz Octa-Core processor with Adreno 405 GPU and another variant that comes with Snapdragon 615Soc with the same GPU. The 617Soc variant packs in 4GB Ram and 64GB Rom while the 615Soc model has 3GB Ram, the internal storage on both these model can be expanded via a MicroSD card slot. The Coolpad Max runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, but not Android 6.0.
In the camera department, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 6P lenses, PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. A 2800mAh battery with fast charging is on board.
