Nextbit Robin gets regulatory approval in India, Will Start shipping for Kickstarter backers from next week

Nextbit Robin smartphone was supposed to launch in India last month, but due to the delay in BIS approval the company has delayed the launch. Today it has announced that it has received the regulatory approval from the government and will start shipping the device to Kickstarter backers starting from next week. And for the general buyers, the device will officially launch in India later this month, but the date and availability are yet to be known. Let’s check the specifications once again.


The Nextbit Robin sports a 5.2-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels)IPS display that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Soc clocked at 1.8 GHz 64-bit Hexa-Core processor along with Adreno 418 GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory with 100GB of cloud storage. The Nextbit Robin runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The device features a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 4G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC and GPS, USB Type-C port for data transfers and charging. The device also features a Fingerprint scanner for better security. It packs in a 2,680 mAh battery with quick charging support.
