Sony has officially launched the Xperia X and XA smartphones in India, both these new X-series smartphones at the MWC 2016. The Sony Xperia X sports a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650Soc coupled with 3GB Ram. While the Xperia XA is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 combined with 2GB Ram. The Xperia X and Xperia XA come in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colors and are priced at Rs. 48,990 (MRP) and Rs. 20,990 (MRP) respectively. You can currently pre-order the Xperia X Dual via Amazon and other Sony retailers for Rs. 46,990 and will be available from June 7th. As a part of the pre-booking offer, it comes with free SBH70 Bluetooth stereo headset for worth Rs. 6,990. Sony Xperia XA Specifications:

The Sony Xperia XA sports a 5-inches HD (1280×720 pixels) curved edge-to-edge display, and is Powered by MediaTek Helio P10Soc clocked at 1.8GHz Octa-Core processor with Mali-T860MP2 GPU; it packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expandable via a MicroSD card up to 200GB. The Sony Xperia XA runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box with Xperia U.I on top.

Talking about the Camera department, we have a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and can record 1080p videos. Up front, we have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for better low-light selfies.  The device also features a Fingerprint sensor on board for extra security. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 2300mAh non-removable battery with  Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology support.


The Sony Xperia X is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa-Core clocked at (4×1.2GHz ARM A53+2 x1.8 GHz ARM A72) 64-bit processor with Adreno 510 GPU, and it sports a 5-inches Full HD Triluminos Display. There is 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory with a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. It runs on  Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sony’s custom skin on top.

Talking about the camera, the device houses a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Predictive Hybrid AutoFocus and it can record full HD 1080p videos. On the front, it packs a 13-megapixel shooter with 22 wide-angle lenses, and it can record 1080p videos which should be good for selfies and video calls. Similar to the Xperia X Performance, the Xperia X also features DSEE HX, LDAC, and Digital Noise Cancelling.

The Sony Xperia X comes with a Fingerprint sensor for extra security, and it is placed on the power button on the right side.
