Motorola has introduced the Moto Z smartphone at Tech World 2016 conference in San Francisco. The company has also introduced MOTO Mods accessories that will go with Moto Z smartphone. Motorola has ditched the Moto X series for the Z series; the Moto Z is technically the first in the series. The Moto mods will connect to the device via snap on’s that attach to 12 magical-pins at the bottom back of the smartphone and the mods include Moto Insta-Share Projector, JBL SoundBoost, Moto Shells, and instant Power Pack. The Motorola Moto Z will be available from September along with the Mods. In the US the device will be available as Moto Droid Z from September. Motorola Moto Z sports a 5.5-inches Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) SUPER AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820Soc clocked at 2.2GHz Quad-Core processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs in 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32/64GB internal storage with a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion up to 2TB, and it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
Talking about the camera, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, OIS, Laser Autofocus, 1.12um pixel, f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for better selfies and video calls. Moto Z also rocks a Fingerprint scanner for extra security.
