Asus ZenWatch 3 Android Wear Smartwatch Powered by Snapdragon 2100 Announced at IFA

Asus has introduced the ZenWatch 3 Android-powered smartwatch at the IFA 2016 event. ZenWatch 3 is the first Asus smartwatch to come with circular design and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100SoC with 512MB RAM. The Asus ZenWatch 3 comes in Gunmetal, Silver and Rose Gold colors and price starts at 229 Euros (US$ 254 / Rs. 17070 approx.). It will roll out from October 2016.

The Asus ZenWatch 3 sports a 1.39-inches (400×400 pixels) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 287 PPI and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 SoC coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB eMMC internal memory. The watch comes with interchangeable straps that also includes Italian leather strap. There are three buttons on the right side of the watch which offer quick access to frequently used functions and various display modes.

It is powered by Google’s Android Wear operating system and is compatible with Android smartphones running 4.3 Jellybean and above. It comes with IP67 rated for dust and water resistance. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi, sensors on the watch include  6-axis (gyro and accelerometer), Ambient light sensor. There is a 340mAh battery on board with HyperCharge charge support.
