Alcatel has announced the Shine Lite, XL smartphones at the IFA 2016 event in Berlin; these smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box, and with 4G LTE support. The Alcatel SHINE LITE comes in Satin Gold, Pure White and Prime Black colors and is priced at around 199 Euros (US$ 220 / Rs. 14,780 approx.). The Alcatel XL smartphone will be initially available in MEA and Europe, starting from mid-October but no word on pricing yet. Let’s check out the specifications of these smartphones in detail.
Alcatel SHINE LITE specifications:
The Alcatel SHINE Lite sports a 5-inches HD (1280 x 720 pixels) 2.5D Dragontrail Glass display and is powered by MediaTek MT6737 SoC clocked in at 1.3 GHz quad-core 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box with company’s U.I on top.
Talking about the camera, the device packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash for better low-light selfies and video calls. It comes with a Fingerprint sensor for extra device security. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Dual SIM (optional), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. A 2460mAh non-removable battery is on board.
Alcatel XL Specifications and Features:
The Alcatel sports a relatively bigger display at 6-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 Soc clocked at 1.8GHz Octa-Core processor with Mali T860 GPU. There is no precise info about the RAM and internal storage, but it does come with a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. In the camera department, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and on the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. A 3500mAh battery is on board.
