Huawei’s Honor has launched the 6X in China today. Honor 6X is the successor to 5X that was launched last year in China. The device sports a 5.5-inches 1080p display and is powered by the Kirin 655 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM on the base model and the high-end variant rocks 4GB RAM.
The Honor 6X comes in Gold, Silver, Grey, Blue and Rose Gold colors and is priced at 999 yuan (US$ 148 / Rs. 9885 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, and the 4GB RAM model with 32GB storage is priced at 1299 yuan (US$ 192 / Rs. 12850 approx.). Finally, the high-end 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant costs 1599 yuan (US$ 237 / Rs. 15825 approx.). The device is ready to order in China starting today and will go on sale from October 25th. Honor 6X Specifications:
The Honor 6X sports a 5.5-inches Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass IPS display and is powered by the Kirin 655 SoC clocked at 2GHz Octa-Core 16nm processor with Mali T830-MP2. It packs 3GB RAM with 32GB storage on the base model, another variant with 4GB RAM with 32GB storage and finally the high-end model that packs the same 4GB RAM but with 64GB internal storage. All these variant come with a microSD card slot for memory expansion, However, it is not a dedicated slot but a Hybrid slot.
The Honor 6X runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1. In the camera department, the device features a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 6P lens, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. It also has a Fingerprint sensor for extra security. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. A 3340mAh (typical) / 3270mAh (minimum) battery with support for fast charging is on board.
