Asus has announced the Zenfone AR at the CES 2016 event. It is the first smartphone ever to support both Google Day Dream and Tango, and it is the second Tango-powered device after the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. The Asus Zenfone AR comes in Charcoal Black color with leather finish and will roll out starting from Q2 2017. Pricing details are yet to be announced.

The Asus Zenfone AR sports a 5.7-inches Quad HD (2560 × 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, NTSC over 100% and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC clocked at 2.3GHz Quad-Core processor with Adreno 530 GPU and packs 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4 RAM coupled with 32GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage with a microSD card slot. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen UI 3.0 right out of the box.
In the camera department, the Zenfone AR features a 23-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Sony IMX318 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6P Largan lens, 4-axis OIS, 3-axis EIS, Laser AF and an 8-megapixel shooter on the front with f/2.0 aperture, 85-dewide viewing angle for better selfies and video calls. It features a Fingerprint sensor for extra device security. Apart from Fingerprint sensor, the Zenfone AR packs Built-in Mono 5 magnet speaker, ASUS SonicMaster 3.0, DTS Headphone: X for virtual 7.1 surround sound Hi-Res Audio 192kHz/24-bit standard, NXP Smart AMP technology.
Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac5 GHz 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C. A 3300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support on board.
