Xiaomi has started the Mi explorers program last month which ended recently and now the company has officially started sending out Media invite for the launch which is scheduled for 19th January and the company most probably will launch the Redmi Note 4 which was introduced in China back in August last year. However, the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 4 will be powered by a Qualcomm based chipset instead of the MediaTek Helio X20 Soc seen on the Chinese variant. We shall know more about the device once it goes official.

The Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, up to 72% NTSC color gamut, 1000:1 contrast ratio. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage for base model while the high-end version features a 3GB RAM with 64GB internal storage that is further expandable via a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 out of the box.
Talking about the camera, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF; dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 85-degree wide-angle lens for better selfies and video calls. The device rocks both the Fingerprint Sensor for extra security and the Infrared sensor to control electronic gadgets. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. A 4000mAh (minimum) / 4100mAh (typical) battery is on board.
