Xiaomi Redmi 4 with 5-inch HD display, fingerprint sensor launched in India starting at Rs. 6999

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 4 smartphone in India; the device was initially introduced in China last year. It sports a 5-inches HD display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC with 2/3/4GB RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in Gorgeous Black and Elegant gold colors in India and is priced at Rs. 6999 for the 2GB RAM, the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version costs Rs. 8,999 and the high-end variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version cost Rs. 10,999. The device will be available from 23rd May, 12 noon on Mi.com and Amazon.in.


The Xiaomi Redmi 4 standard version sports a 5-inches HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1000: 1 contrast ratio, 72% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz Octa-Core 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It packs 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, another variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and the high-end model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB.


It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top. Talking about the camera, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and can record 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter with a f/2.2 aperture for better selfies and video calls. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 rocks a Fingerprint Sensor and Infrared sensor to control your electronic items. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Hybrid Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS. A 4100mAh battery is on board.
